your post is very good, i want to know answer of one question, I don’t know u have experience of this thing or not, let’s take a scenerio, where a guy with full of potential and talent but he have some problem in communication, then how you take that guy at the time of interview and what he do that time for clarification.

Doesn’t always work !!!
This approach works for those jobs with “hard to find talent” like say high-end programming, other niche areas and entry level jobs. However this approach doesn’t always work for some kinda of management position or some fairly senior position in an organization. They look at things such as amount of time you’ve spent in your previous organization and stuff like that. At those levels they are looking more for loyalty than talent and companies assume that just becoz you stayed in your prev job for 3 years you’ll most likely stick around with them for the same time. No wonder you have some lousy managers out there !!!

Very informative post from an interviewer. I specially liked the last point “The pressure is on the interviewer to select and not reject”.

The Thinking aloud bit also sounds good.

I have heard the “this is trivial” quote before. I have also seen them flat flat on their face trying to answer the trivial question on a whiteboard. This is all good info. The thinking aloud bit really helps if there are more than one person interviewing you. It gets the interview going on a conversational route and less intimidating

I had an interview for the Leo Club induction but was not selected. Now I come to know some of the loopholes in my presentation… Though I had taken care of majority of the tips you have written but my major defect was that I was not thinking aloud. I could sense that during the interview but just could not rectify at that time.
