Nagendra - there are numerous advantages of a targeted social network. So - another social network like Orkut or MySpace does not help anybody but something like LinkedIn, FaceBook - provides a lot of value.

The beauty of GoingOn and PeopleAggregator is that - they are targeting less on being a social network themselves but are focusing a lot on enabling people to build social networks. So - it's totally up to the creators to think of different ways to provide value. The beauty is in these systems to be platforms, rather than just a network.

It is nice to hear individuals working on their projects be very excited about them though at times it might not sound so special or exciting to people listening(reading).

Sorry about that but am not able to understand how exactly as a user would I be benefiting from YYSN (Yet Another Social Network) except for some new features which might not really matter, atleast to me. ??

Regards,
