Another day of interviews

Today is yet another day which is packed with a lot of interviews for Tekriti Software. The first one starts at 10.30 in the morning and we will be free only late in the evening.

It’s really taxing to speak to so many candidates in a day but the prospects of getting a good hire is something that keeps me going. I remember our first day of interviews- back in February – when we had around 15 of those and it was only Gaurav, my partner, and myself then responsible for everything. Since our office wasn’t ready till then, we had to book a conference room in the DLF City club for the purpose and paying Rs. 5000 for 8 hours wasn’t something that I liked a lot. That was, honestly, the first day that we realized that doing business is going to be real difficult. We didn’t compromise on the quality even then – result being a good Tekriti team who are as excited working for the company as I am.

Manish, another partner, has put a lot of good processes in hiring and follow-up and that makes hiring more pleasant. Manish is really a master at that. And now, with Amit and Nazim stepping up and taking more responsibilities, I have a feeling that I will start enjoying the whole thing again.

Note to self: It’s 9 AM, time to get ready. ‘Dude, you are late’ is something that nobody likes to hear in the office
