Looking for second set of employees

March 26, 2005

Good news to start with – we are almost 2 months old company now and growing. We resisted the urge of taking up all the work that was being made available to us – to guard against over-burdening ourselves with services and not being able to devote time in defining the future of the company, to narrow down the domain of the work, to avoid burning us out pre-maturely and to deliberately not grow too fast. Not to say that it helped us since we were always busy – but it has been pretty satisfactory to be able to deliver something that many people are using now, gain more confidence in the process and then take the next big step.

What next – we are really looking for our 2nd set of employees – have rented out another office already – this is definitely exciting. The goal – good people, both freshers and experienced. The challenge – same old problem of finding good people.

Gotta be more creative in recruitment now!

here is my take on recruiting people . it’s better to get resume of qualified candidats from the existing employee referral .
it’s easier to locate good people from networking sites also

Right Kripal – that is how we are also attacking the problem – that definitely eases the
problem a bit but then getting somebody really smart with an experience has been the
toughest part. Never looked at the networking sites from that angle for ourselves – thanks
for the tip – will try that.
